Pretty good. The Zapruder film is especially valuable and well worth the price. I've been fooling with that part of it for over two hours tonight. I've never studied it for that length of time and this is the first opportunity I've ever had to have a copy of it in which I can study it frame by frame. As for the "analysis" section I don't think its as hot. Its ok, but I think it could have been done better. What I would have liked to have seen is some sort of simulation in which you can move the limo according to its position in the frames yourself and view different locations of possible shooters and make your own trajectories. I recall your comment you made about their analysis of the knoll shot and how they disproved it. The narrator makes the comment that the shot is impossible because there is no wound on the left back of his head. I think I told you that some guy did some study with gelatin or something to prove that the bullet could take this path. However, we all know how everyone always agrees with scientific tests involving the assassination. I had my dad watch this thing with me and he commented that their comment is invalid because if the bullet was a tangible bullet then it would not exit in such a manner. - not necessarily a straight path to the left-back. But anyway, I watched the Zapruder film over and over again, frame by frame and went through books that narrate it including Posner, Groden, and Livingstone's and compared what they claim to see with what I see myself and wrote down the following notes: My narration so to speak. Frame: 160 - 1st shot fired, miss. Mrs. Kennedy turns head towards left. Connally testified that he heard a shot at this point. Posner claims that this is Oswald's miss shot. However, Oswald's view was obstructed by a tree. Posner claims the bullet hit a twig, stripped of its copper jacket, and slammed into the curb hitting James Tague. An interesting tale. At this point a trajectory from the Tague area to the limo lines up with the second floor open window of the Dal-Tex building. The Willis girl slows down and stops by frame 188. It doesn't look like she turns to look at the TSBD, more like she is looking across the street. She claims she looked towards the knoll later on. 189 - 2nd shot hit JFK in the throat. Kennedy is jolted backwards. Phil Willis takes his picture known as Willis 5 at this moment. He claims to have taken it in response to hearing a gunshot. In his photo you can see the "umbrella man" and his buddy. Also visible is the "black dog man" standing behind a retaining wall. By looking at other pictures it appears to me that he leaves a Coke bottle and climbs over the picket fence. 190-192 Zapruder jiggles the camera in response to this shot. Kennedy moves head to left and right. His hand goes down his chest as he grimaces from pain. 225 - 3rd shot hits Kennedy in the back. Kennedy is pushed forward. His elbows fly forward. He seems to be responding both to a throat and back wound. Connally begins to turn around. 234 - 4th shot hits Connally in the back from behind. Due to the small time period it is obviosly from a different gunman than the 3rd shot. A second gunman from behind for a total of three. Conally claims he was hit in this frame. 237 - Connally's mouth opens. At 239 his cheeks puff out. His right shoulder drops down. 311-312 Posner claims Kennedy's head moves forward in response to a rear shot. He bases this on a study done by the Itek company. I took a look at Anthony Marsh's paper on his study of the movements in the limo and I think his work is probably more accurate. He compared the movement of all of the invididuals in the limo, instead of just focusing on Kennedy's head, and found that they all moved forward. Obviosly in response to the limo slowing down. Take a look at these frames carefully and indeed it does seem like everyone moves ever so slightly forward. 313 - 5th shot from the front hits Kennedy in the head. 316-317 You have a good view of a wound in Kennedy's head. Apparently a piece of scalp is hanging out. You can see it come from the back top of his head down to the bottom right of his head. This frame also provides a good view of Greer peering backwards as he watches Kennedy take the bullets. 317-320 These are very strange frames. A strange black shadow appears to be drawn in front of Kennedy's head. Jackie's face is blacked out. Is this done by ink, sunspots, or birds blocking the sun at the right moment? Whatever, the final effect is definetly strange looking and it doesn't look natural. Very rarely do I walk down the street and see people with black clouds blocking their face. Look at 316 and 321 and these 3 and the cloud seems to just pop there and disappear. 337 - View of wound in the back of the head. Scalp ripped open. 364-383 - You can see the left rear break light of the limo lit up. Right light seems to have too much sunlight to tell if its lit. 413 - Groden claims there is a gunmen visible in the bushes in this frame. I really doubt it. A gunmen would be crazy to shoot at this position - he would be in wide open view of everyone and appear in other pictures taken. Print this out and go through the film yourself and tell me what you think of these notes. --- GEcho 1.00 * Origin: Camelot BBS-Main Hub-Danville,VA (804)685-1602 (1:2621/10)
