Subj: The Grassy Knoll Section: To: STEVE N. BOCHAN, 74273,3457 Monday, January 09, 1995 10:52:19 AM From: Steve, I did the math for you this weekend. The last Zapruder frame was 485 and the limo was just inside the underpass then. Bob Cutler's Crossfire '90 is plotted on his drawing #148, which marks the location of the limo at various frames. I measured the distance between frames to the nearest foot. From Z-313 to Z-346 is 31 feet. Those 34 frames took 1.8679235 sec. so the average speed over the 31 feet would be 16.685 FPS or 11.37 MPH. From Z-346 to Z-400 is 67 feet. Those 54 frames took 2.9508197 sec. so the average speed over the 67 feet would be 22.705 FPS or 15.48 MPH. From Z-400 to Z-433 is 73 feet. Those 33 frames took 1.8032787 sec. so the average speed over the 73 feet would be 40.482 FPS or 27.60 MPH. From Z-433 to Z-465 is 81 feet. Those 32 frames took 1.7486339 sec. so the average speed over the 81 feet would be 46.322 FPS or 31.58 MPH. From Z-465 to Z-485 is 65 feet. Those 20 frames took 1.0928962 sec. so the average speed over the 65 feet would be 59.475 FPS or 40.55 MPH. Note that the average is not the highest speed attained before the limo left Dealey Plaza. But it is easy to see that the limo never reached 80 MPH before the underpass while on Elm Street. This is the type of analysis which the WC defenders are unable to do. They may be great at character assassination, but simple math eludes them. That is why you have to depend on your conspirati guru. Tony
