Tour 8

A very small park where residents can sit while they are waiting the the ferry, or just to pass some time.

A typical Taiwanese motor scooter. They are everywhere, and in great numbers.

At the top of this hill sits Cihou Lighthouse. The original one dated from 1883, but the current structure was built in 1916, during the Japanese occupation.

Another little side street in Cijin.

A nicer set of metal doors along the side street.

This may be the most ornate front of a building that I have ever seen. It houses the 10,000-Phoenix Temple.

The Tianhou Temple.

One of two wonderful ornamented columns at the entrance to the temple.

One of the Chinese members of our group is explaining about the temple.
