On the way to lunch...
We went to a restaurant on the street, so we had another walk across the campus.

We got interested in the sky because a strong cold front had come through, accompanied to brief heavy rain, while I was speaking. the cumulus clouds were showing virgae, or strands of raindrops that were evaporating before them reached the groups. In this case they were irregular because the wind was very strong.
