Christmas Lecture (25 December) 1—Prof. Zhuang's Introduction
China does not celebrate Christmas, although it's creeping
into their commercial world and Christmas presents are becoming more common. But
it is not an official holiday. I spent Christmas afternoon giving a presentation
to Prof. Zhuang's students. It was quite informal, and lots of fun. He began
with a PowerPoint presentation that set the stage and reviewed the work of each
person in the group. Then I spoke. Yuan Hui took pictures with my camera
throughout. Here is a selection of them.
