The Great Wall at Mutianyu

Having twice been to the Great Wall at Badaling, northwest of the city, I wanted to visit a different section this time. When the institute kindly provided us a car and driver for a day, we were able to travel to Mutianyu, about 90 km northeast of Beijing. It was worth the two-hour drive. The day was crisp and beautiful, and there were few other tourists. Some snow and ice remained from a snowfall two days earlier.
For ease of viewing, I have grouped the photos into small segments. Enjoy!
