Downtown 1

We walked some and took one of the old-time trolleys down to the Adler Planetarium and the Field Museum of Natural History, both on the lake. Here are some photos from that time.

A view from one of the many bridges over the Chicago River.

A view of the skyscrapers from the trolley. If memory serves, that is the Sears Tower on the left.

Here we are near the lake and looking toward the buildings to the west. Chicago has some very nice gardens along the water.

A view of the skyline to the north.

Here we are about to catch the trolley at the Adler Planetarium.

Li Mei and the trolley driver sharing a good mood.

There are lots of little harbors along the lake, as well as trails for walking and biking. Chicago gets the most out of its portion of Lake Michigan.

Another view of the trail from the road.
