Cheung Chau Island
Part 5: A boat ride through the harbor

They say that 3% of the people of Cheung Chau live on houseboats in the harbor. Saves cutting the grass! Here is one of the boats.

There's no place like the tropics for great clouds. Here are some examples over Cheung Chau. Small as the island was, its surface was hot enough and high enough to trigger the development of towering cumulus like there. Here we are entering the main harbor and approaching the Praya.

Here's that view of fishing boats in the harbor that I promised you back in Part 1.

A closer view of some of the fishing boats. The nearness of these boats to shore makes this harbor particularly interesting for the tourist.

More boats, near the end of the village.

Ahead on the right are the steps where we clambered off our little boat.
