Baomo Garden
On Sunday, 6 March 2005, four of us plus the driver went
to beautiful Baomo Garden, abut an hour's drive to the south of Guangzhou. The
weather was beautiful, and the pictures came out very well. My hosts were Dr.
Wen Sheng and his wife, and Tan Jihua. Dr. Wen is a teacher at the Guangzhou
Institute of Geochemistry, and Jihua is a Ph.D. student there. The trip was the
idea of Miss Bi Xinhui, an assistant professor there. But the car couldn't hold
all of us plus her, and she graciously volunteered to stay behind because she
had been there already.
Baomo Garden is an artificial construction inside a small
city, but it is done so tastefully that if feels almost like part of nature. But
don't go there unless you really like goldfish!
