On The Ground

On Sunday, the day after we drove to Mijocama, Li Mei and I went to a local air show. I say "local" in the sense that it was held at a small airfield on the outskirts of Ottawa. The displays in the air were as good as you could find anywhere. Here are some photos of the ground displays.

This is just as we were entering. The main runway is ahead in the distance.

We tried to sign up for a ride in a plane, but they were all full before the show began. You can see some of the planes on display in the center.

Here are some people waiting for the show to begin. The main runway is on the right.

We looked at the planes on display. Here is Li Mei enjoying a pontoon plane.

A training plane operated by Algonquin College in Pembroke, Ontario.

Li Mei climbed inside and was ready to take off.

I think she wanted to fly this one, too. But it belongs to the National Research Council of Canada.
