Gromyko Message to Rusk
Moscow TASS International Service in Russian 1002 GMT 23 November 1963--L
(Text) Please accept my profound condolences on the tragic death of U.S. President John Kennedy at the hands of a murderer. I express the hope that the cause of easing international tension, begun by signing of the Moscow treaty, which the late President valued highly, will be continued and this will serve as the finest memorial to him.
