Brezhnev Message to Johnson

(Text) His excellency, N.S. Khrushchev, chairman of the
USSR Council of Ministers, Moscow:
Esteemed Mr. Chairman, on behalf of the American people, I
should like to thank you for your condolences on the tragic death of President
Kennedy. All of President Kennedy's efforts were devoted to the cause of peace
and peaceful settlement of international problems and to improving relations
among all countries, including the Soviet Union and the United States. I intend
to continue to strive toward achieving these aims.
