USSR Public Figures' Message

(Text) Moscow--Nikolay Tikhonov, Aleksandr Korneychuk, Viktor Chkhikvadze, and other Soviet public figures today sent a cable to U.S. public organizations which champion peace and to individual American public figures, expressing condolences regarding the malicious assassination of U.S. President Kennedy. The message says: "In unity with the American people, we mourn the death of outstanding statesman, President John F. Kennedy, who made a great contribution to relaxing international tension and improving relations between our countries."
