(Text) Washington--After the funeral of President John F.
Kennedy, First Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers Anastas Mikoyan,
together with other heads of state, government, and government delegations who
had come to take part in the funeral service, called on the President's widow,
Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, at the White House.
On behalf of the USSR Government, its head Nikita Khrushchev,
Mrs. Nina Khrushchev, and himself, personally, Anastas Mikoyan expressed deep
condolences to Mrs. Kennedy on the tragic death of President Kennedy.
Later in the day, Anastas Mikoyan attended the reception held
at the State Department by the new President Lyndon Johnson for the heads of
state, government, and government delegations in Washington for the funeral of
John F. Kennedy.
