George Michael Evica is Professor Emeritus of
Literature at the University
of Hartford, Connecticut. He has been interested in the JFK assassination from
its inception. He is the author of one book, “And We Are All Mortal: New
Evidence And Analysis In The Assassination Of John F. Kennedy,” published in
1978 by the University of Hartford. For several years he was Editor of Assassination Chronicles, published by JFK Lancer, Inc., in Dallas,
Texas. During the last decade, he has published several articles and has spoken
at many JFK conferences.
Dr. Evica produces a weekly half-hour radio program on the assassination
and related matters, “Assassination Journal,” which is broadcast by the
University of Hartford’s radio station WWUH. The program focuses mainly on the
JFK assassination, but has covered coups, murders, and mysteries such as TWA
800, the Gulf War Syndrome, and the failed war on drugs. It is the
longest-running public affairs program in the United States.
George Michael Evica’s beliefs on the JFK assassination can be summarized as follows (references are to articles listed below):
1. Conspiracy in the assassination of JFK is no longer a theory, but historical fact (many speeches).
2. JFK was killed by a simulated attack in Dealey Plaza, planned as a test of security but turned into a real attack by J. Edgar Hoover and a few other agents within the FBI (Perfect Cover).
3. Kennedy was killed because he was tying to put his 81 campaign promises into action (81 Promises).
4. The assassination was instigated by “The U.S. Establishment, the Ruling Class, the Power Elite, the National Security State: the anti-JFK personae in Big Oil, Banking, Defense and their Intelligence and Military assets.” David Rockefeller was the “upper-echelon patsy” (Perfect Cover).
5. All the usual suspects were actual “False Sponsors,” or agencies set up to falsely appear responsible (Perfect Cover).
6. The shooters were Dallas Police, agents of the Treasury from the Dallas area, or hired guns from the Southwest (Perfect Cover).
7. Lee Harvey Oswald was sent to the Soviet Union as an agent of the Office of Naval Intelligence (Perfect Cover).
8. The first “shot” was in reality a “terrible explosion” designed to freeze everyone and prevent them from reacting to the subsequent killing shots (Perfect Cover).
9. The “other Oswalds” were real (Perfect Cover).
10. All the FBI’s ballistics evidence is wrong—none of the bullet fragments are linked to Oswald’s rifle (Perfect Cover).
11. At least two weapons were used in the assassination, neither of which was Oswald’s rifle (Perfect Cover).
12. Jack Ruby was paid to kill Oswald by the “Las Vegas Syndicate,” i.e., Meyer Lansky and associates (Perfect Cover).
13. Earl Warren refused to consider evidence that Oswald had been connected to U.S. Intelligence (Dirty Rumor).
14. Senator Thomas Dodd had at least one Mannlicher-Carcano rifle ordered in the name of Lee Harvey Oswald or Alek Hidell in September 1963 (Still All Mortal).
