Truth Letter
In 1968, Joachim Joesten started a newsletter entitled
"Truth Letter" from his temporary base in Munich. The Dallas JFK
Archives contains scanned copies of each of the pages of the sample copy he sent
to potential subscribers around the U.S., the copy in question having gone to
Mr. Charles N. Batchelor, the Chief of Police in Dallas. In it, Joesten
describes how the newsletter will cost $45.00 per year, a princely sum in those
days, and the purpose of the newsletter: "to keep readers of my many
printed books about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy abreast of
current developments in the case, including in particular the progress of the
Garrison investigation. In addition, "Truth Letter" will also keep you
informed about the true background and hidden aspects of the two other political
murder cases intimately linked to the "Crime of the Century,": to wit
assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy and the slaying of Dr. Martin Luther
King."
