Steve,
You know that you can always count on your guru here. <BFG>

I transcribed the portion of Bowers' interview with Mark Lane from the
videotape Rush To Judgment:

"At the time of the shooting, ah, in the vicinity of where the two men I've
described were, there was a flash of light or, ah, something which
occurred which caught my eye in this immediate area on the
embankment. And what this was I could not state at that time and, ah, at
this time I could not, ah, identify it other than there was some unusual
occurrence, a flash of light, or smoke, or, or something, ah, which, ah,
caused me to, hmm, feel like something out of the ordinary had occurred
there."

-------------------

However, I don't remember the exact date of this interview. I will try
looking it up in the book or some articles. I think it was 1966.

With your resources you should be able to get the videotape in your area.
I think I even bought it at K-MART. You might also be able to rent the film.
If you can get it, can you record the statement into a .WAV? I have yet to
get the scanner working, but hope to scan in some goodies next
weekend. If you can't find the tape, maybe I could loan mine to you. I
would like to set up a secure mailing operation so that I can mail tapes to
you. For example, I have the Journalists Remember symposium on about
4 different tapes and want to put them all onto one long tape in the correct
order.
