treated by unit surgeons and consequently not reported in hospital returns. Therefore,
complete statisties are not obtainable. The actual number of wounded at Nhpum Ga
alone exceed the official total for the entire campaign.

** 296 is the number of malaria cases evacuated. Nearly every member of the force
Had Malaria many times in more or less severe form.
