16mm Films with Double 8mm PerforationsThe following 16mm films are available with double 8mm perforations. The 8mm perforation format is the same size hole as the 16mm perforation but the pitch (distance between perforations) is 1/2 the distance. Where 16mm perforations are .3000", the 8mm perforation format is .1500". The 16mm wide film is perforated along both edges and was originally provided by Kodak on 100' spools. The customers camera exposed the film with an 8mm image along one side of the roll, flipped the film over at the end of the roll and then exposed the other side. When the roll was sent to the lab for processing, the lab would split the customers film and splice it into a 8mm X 200' roll. Today, the films listed below are available. They are purchased by a customer who spools to 100' spools for re-sale to customers using the old cameras.
The Kodak roll film specification number is 467. These are all special order items with a minimum qty of 20 rolls.
