Go through your own writings and search for passages where you or close colleagues have written in ways open to the criticisms considered in this chapter (misrepresenting the course of your scientific work, subjugating individuals for the sake of the group, using unnecessarily exclusive language or terminology). Rewrite one or more of these passages in ways that address their problems. Don't worry about reacting too much and going too far—that is worthwhile for learning purposes.
