Here is the broad interior plain that the mountains gave way to.

This is one of the best view of cutoff lakes and earlier tracks that one can imagine. Some of the lakes near the center of the picture actually form rigns.

 

 

 

Another good set of river wanderings.

Here the river shows many near-parallel earlier tracks.

Ice in the Bering Sea, near Nome, Alaska (I think). At the left is snow-covered ground. The ice appears as thinner and more broken structures at the right. Note the low clouds.

This picture shows the contrast between land and pack ice better.

A view to the south from out over the Bering Sea. Clouds pretty much covered the sea all the rest of the way to Tokyo.
