Navy Pier 2

Here are more photos of the pier, including some night view at the end.

A group of performers from a show in the theater just to the right was entertaining surprised onlookers with some impromptu fun. The heat didn't seem to bother these talented folks, nor did my camera.

A closer view of the performers. The theater is at the left rear. Across the walk is the pier from where the "Seadog" speedboats leave. (Photos from our ride are in the next series.)

The littlest performer takes her turn.

This guy might have been the mascot of Navy Pier, bit I don't know for sure. The kids sure loved him, though.

Inside one of the buildings we got to see the caricaturist at work. His family is watching attentively in the background.

Navy Pier at night is quite a place. The beautiful city buildings in the background don't hurt, either. Cruises leave form the docks each evening, too.

The Ferris wheel is spectacular by night.

The night lights of Chicago literally light up the clouds, too. Posting these photos has made me want to return! The picture is slanted not because of any temporary disability on the part of the photographer, but because he had to rest the camera on a tilted concrete post in order to take the long exposure.
