Miao RestaurantThe Show

This particular restaurant features a show every night. You would eat for a while, go out and watch part of the show, go back in and eat, watch more show, etc. The only problem was that we were in the dead of winter and it was at or below freezing. But the show went on anyhow, albeit in abbreviated form. I was able to get several reasonable pictures of it.

The show featured four dancing Miao girls, whom we later met. Here they are in one set of costumes. They were virtually dancing in the dark, as the song goes.

Here they are again.

The final pose.

This is the "crowd" watching the show. Not large, but enthusiastic (especially me).

A boy came out and played several Miao instruments. This little boy was so curious—he climbed up on the stage, walked around for some of the numbers, and finally left. The Miao boy is getting ready to playa leaf.

The Miao boy playing a flute-like instrument.

Here is a strange wooden instument.

The dancing girls returned in a new costume.

Aren't they pretty?

The final number features two boys and two girls in a very active dance. It was a little too fast for my camera.
