NYC 1—To Penn Station

Here is Shirley at Convent Station.
A typical NJ Transit commuter train. Our trip to Penn Station took just under an hour.
Shirley's first view of Penn Station and New York City.
Eager to photograph everything.
I took Shirley and her friend to a Nedick's, which is a NY institution. We enjoyed an orange drink, one of their specialties.
A view of Penn Station looking northward along Eighth Avenue.
One of the many tour buses we saw.
The Empire State Building. We decided against going there because we didn't have enough time.
A skywriter in action.
The Port Authority Bus Station. These days it is an ugly place, unfortunately.
