We were essentially driving along barrier islands. The Gulf of Mexico was just to the right.
This area has some beautiful houses, such as the one on the right across the water.
This little guy flew over and was observing us.

We walked over to the beach at one of the few points of public access, adjacent to a little park.
We wondered why the sand was darker and patted down. Turns out that there had been a big downpour an hour or so earlier.
