This photo is probably from the northern part of the Yukon. Note the major highway paralleling the river. the highway is probably the Alcan Highway.
A view of some of the mountains. The circular structure at the left may be a collapsed volcanic dome.

Note the difference between the natural curves and the straighter human lines. There appears to be small settlement or work camp near the bottom of the photo.
The beginning of the Alaskan Rockies, better known as the Alaskan Range. The mountains are higher and steeper, and are covered with more snow.
A broad view of the Alaskan Range. At the lower right it gives way to a large plain, as shown progressively in the next two photos.
At this point we are traveling nearly straight west over the interior of Alaska.
Note the may older tracks of the river at the lower right.
