Cheung Chau Island
Part 3: The cemetery

The Cheung Chau Cemetery was large enough to occupy both sides of the road. It also included a crematorium. You see Kelly walking ahead.

Each person buried here gets a monument. Some are protected by the traditional lions.

Some monuments carry pictures of the deceased, complete with inscriptions.

A closer view of one of the monuments. Note the incense in the urn.

Smaller headstones on a site overlooking the water.

Another beautiful view of the surroundings, this time from the cemetery.

The cemetery's crematorium.
