Virginia June 2003
I and a friend took a few days' trip to Virginia in June
2003. The first day was spent meeting John Cahill, a shootist and fellow JFK
researcher (although he says he isn't all that interested in it). The second day
was spent on Skyline Drive and at the Luray Caverns. The third day was devoted
to the rest of Skyline Drive. The last day was at Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's
home. The weather on the last three days was excellent.
This was my first big use of my new digital camera, a Canon
EOS 10D. All photos were taken with a Canon 16–35-mm
lens, which functioned as a 25–50-mm lens because of the smaller area of the
CMOS sensor. I took the pictures at the full resolution of 3072 x 2048 pixels,
and then reduced them by a factor of three each way to get 1024 x 683 pixels. I
have not retouched any of them. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the
results. Enjoy!
