Guangzhou, 3–30 March 2005
I stayed in Guangzhou from March 3rd to 30th, 2005. I was at the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, mainly working with Prof. Fu Jiamo's group. I gave six lectures in English, one on science (aerosols) ,and worked with various students on their papers. Along the way, I had a chance to visit three scenic spots on successive Sundays. On the 6th, several of us went to Baomo Garden, a beautiful place south of Guangzhou about an hour's car ride. The weather that day was the best of the entire stay. On the 13th, three of us went to Shenzhen. On the 20th, four of us went to Kaiping. I have photos from each of these places, plus a short set from my apartment in the grounds of the Institute of Geochemistry.
